Jailed opposition politician Dr Kiiza Besigye has reportedly been returned to his prison cell at Luzira after being discharged from the prison hospital, amid renewed concerns about his health.
His wife, Winnie Byanyima, says the opposition figure remains extremely weak and requires continued family support and medical attention.
Besigye had been receiving treatment after suffering a serious health episode earlier this month. He was previously taken to hospital after collapsing during court proceedings in Kampala.
Reports on Monday indicate that he has now been discharged from the Luzira prison hospital and returned to his cell.
His family has expressed concern about his condition, with reports saying relatives who had been assisting with his care were also sent away from the prison.
