On-Foot Listening and Podcasts: A Franchise First

Rockstar confirmed that GTA 6 will, for the first time in the series, allow players to listen to the radio while on foot by connecting headphones or earbuds through the in-game smartphone—no longer limiting music to vehicles or specific interiors. The game also introduces the series’ first on-demand podcast system, letting players pull up podcasts at any time like a radio station rather than passively encountering them on talk radio. Previews of each station and podcast are already live on the official GTA 6 website, with roughly two-minute samples available for each.

What’s Still to Come

Rockstar confirmed that additional stations remain unannounced, spanning classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, dance, electronic, blues, and folk. The developer also teased that more details on the game’s “dynamic score” system and further tracks from the original album GTA 6: The Album will be revealed before launch.
